Mission

The Parent Teacher Committee (PTC) at Radcliffe Creek School is a group of volunteers committed to building a strong partnership between parents, teachers/staff, and the community to enhance the academic, social, and emotional growth of students. Through collaboration, communication, and active involvement, we aim to support the school's mission, promote a culture of inclusivity and belonging, and provide resources and opportunities that empower our students and their families to reach their full potential.

Save the Date

The PTC's biggest fundraiser of the year will kick off October 28!

Our popular Pies, Poinsettias & More fundraiser is back this year with even more sweet treats to choose from! Choose from a selection of homemade pies from Lapps Family Bakery, cake pops, macaroons and cocoa bombs from The Spicerie, plus other goodies! Be sure to grab a few vibrant poinsettias from Greenstreet Gardens. Purchase for yourself, or give as a gift and feel good in the knowledge that all of the proceeds benefit the PTC’s various initiatives throughout the year that supports the students, faculty, and staff of Radcliffe Creek School.

What We Do

The PTC is responsible for a variety of initiatives at RCS including welcoming and supporting new and existing families, providing ongoing support and materials for teachers including stocking the break room pantry, purchasing needed supplies, organizing a holiday gift and teacher appreciation week activities, decorating the school for different seasons and events, and providing volunteer support and resources for RCS activities such as Book Fair, Beautification Day and Friends of Radcliffe Day. The PTC also plans, funds and hosts a series of social activities for students such as a fall movie night and spring pool party, as well as free events for parents/guardians and community members that includes an annual speaker series focused on issues of neurodiversity and learning differences called Sharing and Learning Together (SALT).

Funding

The PTC fundraises independently of RCS and relies on the proceeds from various fundraisers throughout the year to fund its mission. PTC’s largest fundraiser occurs each fall, called “Pies & Poinsettias,” which is a sale of various locally-sourced desserts in addition to poinsettias and other holiday plants. The sale is open to the entire community and typically funds the bulk of the PTC’s annual activities. In addition, the PTC asks for donations for the Holiday Gift Fund for teachers and staff in the winter, and donations for Teacher Appreciation Week in the spring. There are no mandatory dues or fees to join and be a part of the PTC. While PTC does its own fundraising, we also assist the Advancement office at RCS with their various initiatives as well including the Run for Radcliffe in the spring.
