Our Language Arts program goes beyond traditional instruction, offering a dynamic, multi-sensory approach to mastering writing, grammar, comprehension, and vocabulary. We understand that every student learns differently, which is why our curriculum is systematically designed to build foundational skills, review previously taught concepts, and empower students with strategies to become successful, independent learners.

Our expert teachers integrate a variety of research-based programs, including Step Up To Writing, Language!, Framing Your Thoughts, the Write Source series, and Houghton Mifflin’s English, all aligned with Maryland State Standards. Every student receives a Chromebook for writing across the curriculum, and interactive whiteboards transform lessons into engaging, immersive experiences.

For Orton-Gillingham students, diverse literature selections enhance vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency, while those in Literature classes delve into advanced writing and grammar concepts. This comprehensive approach ensures that every student develops strong communication skills and finds their confident voice.
