Maryanne Shoge
Maryanne Shoge is a dynamic and creative Language Arts Teacher at Radcliffe Creek School, where she uses her diverse background in education and camp leadership to inspire her students. With a Bachelor of Arts in English from Washington College, Maryanne has a rich history of fostering a love for learning in a variety of environments.
Her extensive experience includes working at eight different camps, starting at the age of 16, and continuing today at the local Camp Tockwogh. After graduating from college, she spent five years at a Montessori school and later taught at an outdoor environmental school in North Carolina, experiences that honed her spontaneous and creative teaching style. Before joining Radcliffe, Maryanne taught English and coached tennis at Kent County Middle School.
At Radcliffe, Maryanne thrives by integrating her wide-ranging skills, often incorporating singing and drama into her language arts classes. She is known for her vibrant and engaging teaching methods, making a significant impact on her students. When she is not in the classroom, Maryanne enjoys reading, acting in local theater, and singing.
