The year is 1994.
A young Mr. G begrudgingly arrives to work: a boy’s sports camp based in Maine. It’s his first job, but he quickly finds his rhythm as the camp’s cool new counselor. After planning hiking trips all over the state and opening a rifle range instructional course with a fellow counselor from England, the young Mr. G has his own lightbulb moment: “Oh, dang, I’m pretty awesome at this!” Those feelings were later confirmed when the owner of the camp encouraged him to pursue a degree in teaching.
Mathematics & Enrichment Teacher
Fast forward seven years.
Mr. G is conducting his first roll call for his first class on the first day of his dream job.
Today, armed with his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and over 20 years of experience, Mr. G is a certified pro. During his tenure at Radcliffe Creek School, he’s helped countless students understand mathematics in an immersive, hands-on environment with an emphasis on real-world applications.
“My favorite part of teaching is that the hard work pays off,” Mr. G says. “You get to see the results of your efforts on a daily basis.”
When he’s not breaking math down like a fraction, Mr. G enjoys running, reading, writing and watching movies with his wife. A profound lover of nature (especially the ocean), Mr. G takes great pleasure simply being outside.
