Allison Jones

Ms. Allison Jones joined our Administrative Team in August of 2023 and has been integral to Radcliffe Creek’s success since day one! Primarily operating as Radcliffe Creek’s admissions director, Ms. Jones also serves as the school’s registrar, and has been a key arbiter throughout our transition to BlackBaud, a learning management system. 

Growing up in Pasadena, MD, Ms. Jones was greatly influenced by her mother, who pursued her teaching degree while Allison was still a child. Spending significant time in the middle school media center, where her mother worked as a TA, Allison developed an early appreciation for the transformative power of reading and education. Her inclination towards teaching was further fueled by helping her siblings with their homework, particularly her older sister with disabilities. This early exposure instilled in her the belief that every student, regardless of background or ability, deserves to feel successful and special.

Ms. Jones holds a B.A. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Washington College (Class of '09). She later earned her M.Ed. in School Counseling from Loyola University Maryland in 2014, solidifying her commitment to supporting students in their educational journey.

Beyond her professional life, Ms. Jones is an avid theater enthusiast with a recent venture back into acting, portraying the parrot and John Brooks in Little Women. She is also a music appreciator, regularly attending performances by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. An active reader, Ms. Jones finds joy in exploring the literary world, guided by the recommendations of Reese Witherspoon. She enjoys outdoor festivals, especially those featuring local beverages and dogs.

One notable aspect of Ms. Jones's life is her foray into glassblowing, where she embraced the challenge of starting a new hobby as an adult, owning a collection of unique creations that bear the marks of her perseverance.

NPR holds a special place in Ms. Jones' heart, having appeared on the network twice – once as a quiz show contestant and another time reading an ad spot for the non-profit organization where she completed her AmeriCorps service.

Ms. Jones’ multifaceted background, coupled with her dedication to fostering a positive learning environment, makes her an exceptional Admissions Director at Radcliffe Creek School. Her commitment to education and creating meaningful experiences for students is evident in her professional journey and personal pursuits alike.
